Toyota launched two minivans the Alphard and Vellfire. Though the two share a common aim of delivering impressive and high quality vehicle design, they are specifically designed so that the two models impart separate individual identities. It represents a clear cut evolution of excellent performance. Aplhard epitomizes elegance and style while its counterpart the Vellfire is power and innovation oriented.
In production since 2002, it is a luxury MPV available as a seven or eight seater. This vehicle was named after Alphard the brightest star in the constellation Hydra. The Alphard qualifies as an Ultra-Low Emissions Vehicle (ULEV), achieving lower levels of emissions. In the year 2006 the Royal Lounge Alphard was introduced which is a luxurious, four-seat version of the Alphard. The Alphard mainly has two variants Alphard G and Alphard V. The all new Alphard240G however symbolizes style, elegance, technology and an unmatched panache which is unique to SUVs.
