The Italian sports and super car company are well known world wide for
their speed and racing prowess, both on the Formula 1 stage and also in
their road cars. Looking first at their Formula 1 record, the team have
won 16 World Constructors Championships and 15 World Drivers
Championships, most recently famous with Michael Schumacher. This
brilliance has of course been turned to the road with a series of front,
mid and rear engined cars.
Perhaps the most revered of its cars has been the Enzo, with an amazing
acceleration of 0-60 in 3.14 seconds and fantastic cornering ability. Only
400 of the car were produced, and now you need to be a millionaire to get
your hands on one. Turning away from super cars we also find a number of
Grand Tourers of which one is the 365 Daytona, made famous for averaging
80.1 miles per hour on the Cannonball Baker Sea-To-Shining-Sea Memorial
Trophy Dash.
Finally, no look at Ferrari would be complete without a look at the Dino
206GT. A child of the 1960s, the car was never branded officially as a
Ferrari but it clearly has the character and drive of the famous car
company.
