Rolls Royce Pictures

Rolls Royce are not at all associated with sports engineering. Instead
their name is linked with luxury and high living. Therefore the production
of the Phantom Drophead Coupe is somewhat unexpected. The design remains
true to the Rolls Royce basic ethic, with plus wood and leather being
found throughout the interior. The exterior is similar majestic with a
fantastic two tone Art Deco feel. In terms of performance however, the
Phantom certainly packs a punch offering as it does 453 brake horsepower
allowing it to reach 60 miles per hour in a little over 5.5 seconds – not
bad for a car that weight over three tonnes.

But the best may yet be to come with the 101EX Grand Touring Coupe
offering a slimmed down Drophead Coupe. The car is based on carbon-fibre
composites instead of the heavier, and therefore slower, alloy panels on
the current Phantoms. On top of that Rolls Royce are toting a tuned up
engine and if this car ever makes it off the drawing board, it could be
very interesting indeed.
