When you say sports car, the image that will hop into many young
professionals minds is one of the versions of the 911. The 911 began life
back in 1963 and has gone through constant innovation to reach the 997
series that we currently see on the roads in the form of the GT3 and GT2.
These modern iterations of this classic car brings together a number of
experiments that have gone through its life; taking a body shape from the
996 series and the interior styling being based upon the 911. Added to
this classic retake on the design of the car we also saw a strong drive
forward in technology with Xenon Headlamps and Targas four wheel drive
systems on some models.
Porsche also famously make the Boxster and Carrerra GT both of which
received top reviews. In the case of the Boxster it was recognised as one
of the top ten cars of 1997 by the vast majority of racing and car
magazines across the US. The Carrerra on the other hand was revered for
its brilliant interiors, with Bose speakers and navigation systems being
offered.
