The all new Ford Fiesta is similar to the thrilling trio of Verve Concept that was unveiled globally at 2007 Frankfurt Show as a 3-door hatch, at 2007 Guangzhou Show, China as a 4-door notch-back, and at a 2008-North American Auto Show, Detroit as a new iteration of a 4-door notch-back.

China manufacture of the all new Ford Fiesta begins before 2008-end at the CFMA (Changan Ford Mazda Automobile) factory in Nanjing, China.

More than ever, we’re leveraging our global product development expertise, and this car sets the scene for future great products for customers around the world that are already being developed behind it in the Ford Global Product Development System pipeline.

- Mr. Joe Bakaj (VP of Product Development, Ford of Europe) said.

In new Fiesta, E-PAS (Electric Power Assist Steering) is inserted for 1st time. It operates only when steering effort assistance is needed, not like conventional hydraulic power assist steering pumps that run constantly when the engine is running. This reduces fuel consumption.
