Lamborghini is a car manufacturing company which was started by Ferruccio Lamborghini in 1960. Since then many cars came into market under this company. Out of those Lamborghini Gallardo is the most produced model to date. The “Gallardo” is Lamborghini’s entry level car, which is a “cheap” Lamborghini as compared to other model such as Murcielago. Murcielago costs about $315,000 US $ which is quiet high as compared to Gallardo which costs around 20,000.
Coming to technical Specification, Gallardo was the first car to be equipped with Lamborghini V10 engine that produces as much as 520 horsepower. Gallardo offers two choices of transmission. One is conventional six speed manual transmission and other is advanced six speed Electro-hydraulically controlled transmission. The latter is also known as “E-Gear” which allows the driver to make faster shifts than normal transmission.
Number of variants came into existence in Gallardo series. First was the Lamborghini Spyder followed by SE, Nera, Superleggera, LP-560-4, and MOMO. Lamborghini is also placed at tenth position among the top 10 fastest cars of the world with a time of 13.65 seconds going from 0-100 kilometers. The only setback for Gallardo was that it doesn’t comes with Lamborghini’s signature scissor doors that open upwards but that doesn’t hurt its sale as Gallardo is high volume car Lamborghini ever made.
